INVESTMENT CASE
PRIME LOCATION
Richmond Buildings is just off Dean Street in the beating heart of Soho. 9-11 is next to the Soho Hotel and almost backs on to Soho House 76 Dean Street.
The new Tottenham Court Road Crossrail station will open at the top of Dean Street.
MAIN FEATURES
ENTRANCE
The entrance is defined by a change in material and in the material expression of the facade.
A double bay is expressed on the facade but the opening, the canopy and the facade recess are all kept neat and minimal such that they are safe and confined.
ROOFTOP
The penthouses are very elevationally simple structures with a cast stone finish and slanted reveals forming openings for glass. The windows only face forwards and backwards in order to provide ancillary spaces in between.
TYPICAL FACADE DETAILING
The facade is detailed as a lightweight insulated panel clad in brickwork. The window reveals are expressed in a metal cladding and the depth of the window allows us to give additional privacy to each apartment and each space. The metal reveal cladding bears resemblance to the other metal fretwork on the elevation.
THE GEM
The section of building which bridges the entrance to Richmond Mews, and the entrance area provide opportunities for an architectural gem through the use of innovative and high quality material selection. The examples opposite show how laser cut anodized aluminium screens can create another dimension to the facade.
